College Intern – New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering (Mechanical/Mechatronics)

What you will do

• Work closely with the NPI Principal Technologist and engineering teams.
• Develop and test product and tooling concepts through rapid prototyping.
• Solve manufacturing, process, automation, and product-related problems.
• Design and modify fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
• Support experiments, characterization studies, and NPI builds.
• Assist with data analysis, SPC, gage R&R, and engineering investigations.
• Collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines to introduce new technologies into production.

Technical skills being developed

• Product design

• Failure analysis & root cause investigation
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Qualifications

• Current Bachelor’s or Master’s undergraduate student in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Able to commit for a 5–6 months full-time internship starting in January 2027.
