JLL Securities, an affiliate of Jones Lang LaSalle (“JLL”), is seeking a Summer Analyst for its Real Estate Investment Banking practice in New York City for Summer 2027. JLL’s M&A & Corporate Advisory team ranks as a top 10 sell-side investment banking platform, and the #1 ranked boutique sell-side platform, by volume with over $46 billion of sell-side M&A activity since 2010.

The team focuses on strategic transactions including mergers & acquisitions (take-privates, mergers of equals, PIPEs), divestitures, restructurings, Special Committee advisory and fairness opinions, entity-level and joint venture capital raising, and other investment banking deals. The team’s client base includes public/non-traded/private REITs, real estate operating companies and developers, open- and closed-end real estate funds, and other global investment managers and real estate owners across all real estate & hospitality sectors.

Job Summary

This internship opportunity provides experience across all stages of real estate investment banking, including real estate and corporate finance modeling, marketing and presentation, deal execution, market study and research, due diligence, and other aspects of M&A investment banking—alongside investment banking professionals and JLL’s broader real estate platform.

During the 10-week summer program, Summer Analysts can also attend Lunch & Learns, team outings, and other networking events with the M&A team and the broader JLL Capital Markets division. Top-performing, eligible Summer Analysts may be invited to join the team as a full-time Real Estate Investment Banking Analyst after graduation at a projected annual salary of $125,000.

Responsibilities

• Perform valuation analyses and financial modeling exercises alongside full-time analysts and associates.
• Assist deal teams in preparing memoranda, presentation materials, and marketing materials.
• Manage multiple aspects of day-to-day transaction execution.
• Review and analyze public company filings, legal documents, internal and third-party data/research, and other materials as part of the transaction process.
• Interact with clients, investors, and broader JLL team members.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Current college/university junior, graduating in Spring 2028, with a minimum 3.5 GPA.
• Corporate finance/accounting and/or real estate experience through college coursework.
• Demonstrated interest in the real estate sector, M&A transaction activity, and global capital markets.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with a team player attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to handle several tasks simultaneously.

Additional Requirements

• Permanent U.S. work authorization required.
• No relocation assistance or housing is offered for this internship program.

Estimated compensation for this position: $9,600.00 – $10,400.00 USD per year
