Role Overview

At ShopBack, we work with large volumes of data that help us understand how shoppers make buying decisions. Our data team is responsible for collecting, processing, and organising this data, and for analysing complex datasets to deliver practical findings and data solutions that stakeholders can use to enhance the ShopBack experience.

As a Data Analyst (Intern), you will have a direct link between your work, company growth, and user satisfaction. You will partner with different stakeholders to support business decisions and generate actionable insights, with impact on millions of shoppers across the 13 markets ShopBack operates in.

Your Adventure Ahead

• Own key business metrics and create reports and dashboards to monitor performance, helping stakeholders evaluate current strategies and make future strategic decisions.
• Build and maintain scalable data models and metrics layers, and use them to validate how user actions drive business performance.
• Build AI-powered data tools, including agentic workflows and internal AI assistants, to scale analytics delivery to business teams.
• Develop a strong understanding of ShopBack’s data ecosystems and serve as a data evangelist to promote self-service analytics.
• Maintain data trustworthiness by building robust checks and alerts to catch issues before stakeholders are impacted.

Essentials to Succeed

• Minimum commitment period of 6 months full-time.
• Solid knowledge of SQL is required.
• Good foundation in Python is a plus (not required).
• Excellent communication skills to convey data solutions to stakeholders.
• Self-starter comfortable working in a highly ambiguous environment where scope is driven by the needs of ShopBack users.
• Demonstrated competency with GenAI and agentic tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code) to build new workflows and tooling that enhance productivity.
