About the Role

As an Intern in our Product Management team, you will work closely with senior product managers and a diverse range of stakeholders across commercial, marketing, operations, and engineering teams. You will play an important role in the definition and execution of product analysis, design, documentation, rollout, and optimisation across a range of features and initiatives—contributing to valuable solutions for customers and merchants and the growth of ShopBack’s network.

  • Internship period: H1 2027 (December/Jan–Jun/July)
  • Commitment: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:30pm)

Your Adventure Ahead

  • Work with product managers and commercial partners to identify factors affecting product/feature performance and growth; refine KPIs and success metrics to track performance by deconstructing product strategy, goals, and value propositions.
  • Provide analytics support to product initiatives in your associated business functions, including creating business cases to justify taking or not taking actions.
  • Champion a better user experience by:
    • Being the voice of users with the insights you generate.
    • Collectively shaping and prioritising feature decisions with quantitative input.
    • Taking ownership of metrics and tracking to improve UX.
  • Collaborate with PMs and local commercial partners to explore, recommend, and drive alternative end-to-end solutions based on use cases and prioritisation.
  • Capture requirements from different stakeholders for new features, providing both summaries and details to ensure successful delivery.

Essentials to Succeed

  • Able to document, clarify, and break down processes into logical steps; able to communicate these effectively in written format or flow charts.
  • Capable of problem-solving by breaking down problems into component parts.
  • Able to communicate succinctly, clearly, and thoughtfully; able to provide actionable feedback on UI and UX designs.
  • Able to interpret data, identify patterns, and make hypothesis-driven decisions.
  • Proactive with self-learning by reading documentation and seeking out domain experts.
  • AI Competency: Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) to develop new or improve workflows, enhance productivity, and drive efficiency at scale.
  • Able to commit for a minimum of 6 months, full time.
  • Plus: Proficient in SQL; familiar with software development processes.

ShopBacker Traits

  • Agency: Take ownership and act, rather than waiting for permission. Find a way through blockers and follow through until the work is done.
  • Judgement: Aim for high-impact decisions, not just easy wins, and put the bigger picture ahead of individual interests.
  • Learning Velocity: Pick up new skills fast, let go of old habits quickly, and benchmark against the best to keep raising the bar.
  • Tenacity: Stay focused under pressure, debate openly before deciding, then commit fully and support each other.

What’s in It for ShopBackers

  • Career growth opportunities to take on greater challenges that help you realise your ambitions.
  • Be part of a winning team on a journey to global scale.
  • Competitive compensation based on performance.
  • A candid, open, and collaborative culture where feedback is valued.
