Global Sales & Origination (GSO) – Relationship Management
Unit/Team Overview
SGX’s Global Sales & Origination (GSO) has a global presence with 19 overseas offices across Asia, the United States (US), and Europe. The team aims to broaden institutional and corporate client coverage to increase participation in SGX’s multi-asset product suite, including securities and derivatives across equities, FX, rates, commodities, and digital assets.
GSO focuses on identifying new themes to unlock revenue opportunities, particularly in the buy-side segment. This is complemented by the growth of the currencies and commodities business alongside SGX’s established strength across Asia equities, as well as increasing volumes traded during the overnight T+1 session. The team serves a broader range of global market participants.
The intern will support relationship management for end clients (Hedge Funds, Proprietary Trading Groups, Asset Managers, Asset Owners, and Bank Desks) and Clearing Members.
What the Intern Can Learn
The internship provides a front-row view of global markets and evolving dynamics between East and West, through exposure to how end clients use products on SGX’s platform to speculate or hedge. Interns work alongside market professionals to develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a well-rounded sales talent, including how to interact with and manage internal and external stakeholders.
