Role Overview

Venti is seeking a passionate and driven Data & AI Engineering Intern to join its autonomous driving team. In this role, you will be at the heart of the data loop/flywheel, solving complex data-governance challenges for massive fleet test data using cutting-edge AI technologies (such as LLMs and AI agents). You will help build highly efficient automated data pipelines and full-stack internal platforms, enabling rapid iteration and validation of autonomous driving systems.

Role Responsibilities

• AV Scenario Data Mining: Assist in analyzing and extracting critical driving scenarios and edge cases from vehicle log data (e.g., sensor feeds, speed, trajectories).
• Data Pipeline Support: Help build and maintain automated scripts (ETL) to parse, clean, and organize massive amounts of test data.
• Internal Tool Development: Assist in maintaining and developing basic features for internal web dashboards (e.g., visualizing test metrics or scenario statistics).
• AI Agent Exploration: Under your mentor’s guidance, explore using AI agents/bots for automated data analysis and scenario generalization.

Required Experience

• Currently studying for a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Solid Python programming skills and comfort working in a Linux/Ubuntu environment.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Strong logical thinking, a passion for autonomous driving, and a fast learning mindset.

Bonus Experience

• Basic experience with backend web development (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Django).
• Basic understanding of frontend development (e.g., React, Vue.js) or visualization tools.
• Curiosity about or basic experience with large language models (LLMs) or AI agents.
• Familiarity with Git and Docker.

Internship Duration

Ability to commit to a 4–6 month internship.
