Your Future Role at QRT

We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineer to join QRT. In this role, you will build tooling that manages and monitors production datasets, keeping them flowing, observable, and reliable. You will work closely with other engineering teams and business stakeholders to deliver a mission-critical platform designed to prevent material trading losses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a platform that ensures the quality and correctness of our datasets, and alerts stakeholders to critical production issues.
• Maintain and improve shared libraries used by developers across the data function to enable rapid onboarding of new datasets.
• Design, build, and document integrations with other teams’ processes that alert them to relevant issues with our data pipelines.
• Support users in best-practice usage of our tooling, migrate code to the latest standards, and investigate, debug, and resolve issues with the platform.

Present Skillset

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in software engineering; exposure to financial data is a plus.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and proficiency in Python and/or Rust.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure.
• Exposure to the front end, particularly custom monitoring dashboards, is a plus.
• Knowledge of data-quality frameworks (Soda/Great Expectations) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with engineers, quants, and traders.
• Ability to work autonomously within a global team.
