Investment Banking Analyst (Technology Group)

Our New York City and Menlo Park offices are looking for an Investment Banking Analyst to join the Technology Group. The successful candidate will work with regional and international clients on a wide range of complex transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, demergers, leveraged buyouts, and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts. The role also includes strategic advisory assignments and execution of public and private capital markets transactions.

You will work closely with professionals throughout the firm to deliver high-quality advice to clients and play an important role on a team that includes senior professionals who will encourage you to go beyond the numbers and think creatively.

Qualifications

• Up to 1 year of experience in investment banking or capital markets is required
• Extraordinarily high level of motivation, focus on work quality, attention to detail, strong work ethic, and decision-making abilities
• Experience in the Technology industry is preferred, but not required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a positive attitude
• Analytical, quantitative, adaptive, self-starter, team player, multitasker, and results-oriented
• Interest in developing a career in investment banking
• Top education credentials; Bachelor’s degree required
• Series licensing or must obtain

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short- and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
