Financial Accounting and Analysis Intern

What the Role Entails

Join the Tencent Finance team as Financial Accounting and Analysis Intern and gain hands-on experience with end-to-end accounting and finance processes. You will work across areas including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Finance Operations, supporting accurate and efficient financial reporting and operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger (GL), ensuring accurate and timely financial entries.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and variance analysis.
• Verify, process, and manage Accounts Payable (AP) transactions, ensuring timely vendor payments and resolving discrepancies.
• Support Accounts Receivable (AR) activities by assisting with customer invoicing, tracking payments, and managing overdue receivables.
• Collaborate with teams to streamline Finance Operations, enhance process efficiency, and support financial audits by preparing relevant documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards, contributing to continuous improvements across finance functions.

Who We Look For

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accountancy or a related discipline.
• Ability to commit to a full-time internship for 4–6 months.
• Demonstrated ability to apply accounting knowledge in practical scenarios, particularly in identifying and resolving issues.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English required. Working proficiency in Mandarin required, as approximately 80% of the role involves coordinating with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and regional teams.
