Job Description: Medicare Sales Advocate (MSA)

This position supports the CDPHP Medicare Sales team. Leadership is open to considering candidates who reside within our service area in New York State (including Albany, Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Utica & Binghamton regions).

Summary

The Medicare Sales Advocate (MSA) is responsible for finding Medicare solutions for beneficiaries by explaining CDPHP’s Medicare benefits and plans to prospective members, and for assisting CDPHP Medicare Authorized Agents. The MSA qualifies prospective members and arranges enrollment meetings with a CDPHP Authorized Sales Agent. Duties also include resolving eligibility and enrollment-related questions and responding to internal and external customer inquiries received via email or phone. The role requires the ability to work a flexible schedule to ensure Medicare regulations are met.

Essential Accountabilities

  • Accurately explain CDPHP Medicare products to beneficiaries.
  • Meet sales and retention goals as determined by Management.
  • Resolve eligibility and enrollment-related questions.
  • Assist CDPHP Medicare Sales Agents with benefit inquiries and enrollment/eligibility-related questions.
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries via phone and/or email.
  • Independently identify and solve problems by implementing appropriate solutions within the department and/or organization.
  • Stay current on Medicare guidelines and CDPHP internal policies and procedures.
  • Meet monthly sales coaching and production standards as determined by Management.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Macess, MARx, inContact, and CRM system(s), and enter accurate and appropriate documentation consistently.
  • Work closely with other departments within the organization.
  • Conduct sales presentations to walk-in prospects.
  • Adhere to all Medicare, Department of Insurance, and company guidelines.
  • Work cohesively with team members to ensure goals for accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction are met.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all data in compliance with department and Plan confidentiality policies.
  • Comply with CDPHP’s Corporate Compliance Policy and report any suspected violations of law, standards of conduct, or the Corporate Compliance Policy to the immediate Supervisor, fraud and abuse hotline, Compliance Officer, Compliance Director, Human Capital Management, or the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
