Work You’ll Do

You will be part of the team with an integral transactional and reporting function in Deloitte’s Business Process Solutions (“BPS”). This role touches all aspects of accounting, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, inventory recording, cash management, fixed assets, monthly account reconciliations, credit analysis, payroll, and other special projects as needed.

Responsibilities may include

• Obtain and file accounting-related documents in a timely manner, and highlight improvements needed to the data collection process.
• Key in data into the accounting system and maintain general ledger accounts for clients.
• Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments, and other manual journal entries, and reconcile accounts monthly.
• Accounts receivable support, including assisting with daily/weekly/monthly invoicing.
• Process and monitor payables.
• Be seconded to client offices to assist with the accounting process when necessary.
• Compile and provide financial or transactional information or data as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a comparable professional qualification, with 1 to 2 years or more of experience in a similar accounting-related role.
• Self-starter, organized, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and hands-on.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment managing several projects.
• Some experience with ERP systems (Xero, MS Navision, or SAP is a plus).
• Excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when deadlines cause greater-than-normal pressure.
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• MS Office experience required, including extensive Excel knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
