About the Position

SPs are versatile generalists who take a deeply analytical and strategic approach to solving Jane Street’s most pressing problems. They move across groups as firm priorities evolve, developing a holistic view of our business and driving cross-functional growth.

As an SP Intern, you’ll work on projects that combine big-picture thinking with rigorous analytical problem-solving. You’ll learn to break down complex challenges into actionable steps, use data to inform decisions, and build frameworks to tackle business questions. This hands-on experience will give you direct insight into how SPs lead strategic initiatives across the organisation and help you understand what an SP career looks like.

About You

We don’t expect you to have a background in finance or any other specific field—we’re looking for smart people who enjoy solving interesting problems. We’re more concerned with how you think and learn than what you currently know. You should be:

• Someone who excels at taking a structured and careful approach to solving problems, communicates effectively, can drive projects forward, and has exceptional attention to detail
• Excited to learn about a wide range of disciplines and subject matter, including global market dynamics, technical systems and tooling, operational infrastructure, and more
• Eager to ask questions, admit mistakes, and constantly deepen your understanding
• Available to start working full-time in 2028
• Fluent in English
