Amazon Process Assistant (Full-time)

This full-time position requires in-role training at an operating site for 5+ weeks. The training will be located 50+ miles away from the home site. Amazon will book and pay for all travel accommodations for training.

About the Role

Rural Super Rural (RSR) is an organization within Amazon dedicated to ensuring customers receive their deliveries and are satisfied with their service, including in remote areas. Process Assistants are part of Last Mile operations in RSR and help drive performance in a rapidly growing team.

Responsibilities

• Track and report ATS/labor hours
• Occasionally assist with production duties; train associates and verify SOP (standard operating procedure) compliance
• Ensure successful area performance through tracking and reporting metrics
• Independently assess associate work performance and provide timely, detailed feedback
• Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives
• Maintain a full understanding of workflow and daily production goals
• Review and update SOPs as required
• Ensure work areas remain clean and properly equipped
• Identify and address safety hazards within the work area and participate in safety initiatives
• Coach associates on safe work practices at all times
• Ensure all job injuries are reported timely in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Provide vacation coverage for Area Managers

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• High school or equivalent
• Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds; stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours; and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Ability to work 40 hours/week and overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or prior Amazon experience
• Awareness and willingness to use OPEX tools and techniques
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) across various levels of an organization
• History of meeting or exceeding departmental goals
• Experience leading teams
• Ability to provide direction to team members using independent judgment
• Organization and time management skills
