Job Purpose

Are you keen on helping shape the future of Allianz in Asia, a key region of growth for the organization? Join our regional agency/bancassurance distribution team in the Asian headquarters and experience the inner workings and strategic steering of the Life and Health insurance business units. You will collaborate with various external and internal stakeholders and support the regional team in different projects, contributing to the transformation of the distribution channel. This role offers practical experience in the financial services and insurance industry, with exposure to corporate strategy and distribution in an international environment across various Asian markets.

What You Do

• Support analysis regarding distribution management activities via management dashboards and reports in the areas of distribution and corporate strategy (e.g., financial KPIs, growth metrics, competitor analysis).
• Analyze current trends, key players, and market developments across Asia.
• Review company financials and growth drivers, and assess economic factors influencing the insurance landscape in Asia.
• Provide data analysis and interpretation of relevant agency, bancassurance, customer, and market data.
• Contribute to and support the regional growth strategy to transform the distribution channel.
• Support project management for ad-hoc strategic initiatives related to the development and execution of distribution ecosystem strategies.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders across the region.
• Support the creation of convincing market development pitches.

Through these activities, the intern will gain exposure to business steering activities and the development of distribution strategies for an international insurer, while obtaining hands-on experience through participation in real-life tasks and support to team members.

What You Bring

• Highly motivated with an affinity for working in a high-performance team—fast learning is key.
• Excellent command of PowerPoint and Excel, and AI tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.
• Programming and data analytics skills are a plus.
• Good presentation and communication skills.
• Self-driven and team-oriented working style.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dynamic, growth mindset with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to multi-task in a collaborative environment.
• Interest in the role of agency distribution in the insurance value chain.
• Previous work experience in consulting, actuarial, and/or financial services is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business Administration, Economics, or Actuarial).
• Penultimate or final-year Bachelor’s students only.
• Full-time availability and legally eligible to work in Singapore for 6 months.
