About the Position

Our goal is to give you a real sense of what it's like to work at Jane Street full time while also providing a truly unparalleled educational experience. As an intern, you are paired with full-time employees who act as mentors, collaborating with you on projects similar to the real-world work we need done.

As a Sales and Trading intern, you'll work alongside our experienced Sales people and Sales-Traders. You will learn how we engage and cover institutional clients on their trading needs across the different asset classes that we cover. You'll gain insight into the types of client inquiries we handle daily and learn how we service our clients, issuers, and prospective clients. The internship is fast-paced and immersive, and you will attend internal classes on a variety of topics to build broader fundamentals of finance and trading.

About You

If you have a curious mind, a collaborative spirit, and enjoy working with clients to solve interesting problems, you may be a great fit. We are more interested in how you think and learn than what you currently know. You should be:

• Planning to graduate in 2028
• Studying toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree
• Curious about financial markets and eager to learn in a rapidly changing environment
• Comfortable staying calm and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Resilient and adaptable, able to recover quickly from setbacks and learn from mistakes
• A proactive, self-motivated problem-solver who is excited about building relationships with clients and partners
• Highly analytical and logical, comfortable working with numbers and data
• Extremely organized with excellent attention to detail, even when managing competing priorities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Japanese, Korean, Malay, or Thai is a plus

Jane Street will provide flights to and from Hong Kong and accommodation throughout the entirety of the program.
