Designated Market Maker (DMM) Trader – Intern (US)

Responsibilities

• Develop in-depth knowledge of financial markets and how Citadel Securities delivers liquidity to clients.
• Collaborate with the trading team to learn about the IPO process: identifying and reaching out to clients, reviewing IPO materials, understanding the initial trade, and managing future client relationships.
• Learn how our team works across internal asset classes to provide valuable market activity updates during the trading day.
• Observe how traders develop trading strategies around technical and market events on the systematic team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related disciplines preferred.
• Passion and demonstrated interest in the markets.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Self-starter with a hard-working approach, not afraid to question the status quo, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to efficiently multi-task and adapt to changing situations.
• Some understanding of markets, trading life cycle, and financial products.

Program Details

Opportunities available in New York. The internship is an 11-week program designed to connect you with senior team members and expose you to real-world projects within the world’s largest and most important stock exchange. You will have opportunities to network with peers throughout the internship and work on meaningful projects. Compensation

In accordance with applicable law, the base salary range for this role is $2,000 to $2,800 per week.
