- Cold room/freezers: -22°F / -6°C
- Some level of PPE required (e.g., safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs)
- Strong odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products, etc.)
- Warehouse environment; may work with hazardous/toxic materials
Location / Division Specific Information
Material Handler II – Receiving Department. Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM.
In the Receiving Department, you will routinely perform the following tasks: sample raw materials, unload trucks, store raw materials in racking systems, and receive in and label raw materials. You will regularly use motorized equipment such as fork trucks, power walkies, reach trucks, and swing trucks. You will also participate in safety, quality, and process improvement initiatives.

Deliver products and equipment that support customers and colleagues in their day-to-day work, including enabling scientific and healthcare outcomes.
A Day in the Life (Responsibilities)
- Process incoming materials, including verifying counts, receiving, labeling, and sampling; make materials available for production use
- Use PIT equipment to ensure inventory is stored accurately and safely in racking systems
- Use computer systems and handheld scanning devices to ensure material is correctly displayed in the ERP system
- Collaborate with your team to ensure smooth daily operations
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- Minimum of one year of general warehouse experience
- 1–2 years of experience working with computers and basic software packages, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Experience with powered industrial trucks
- Experience handling hazardous materials (chemicals) is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Maintain knowledge of current import/export regulations related to shipment of goods to and from the USA
- Ability to analyze and solve problems independently and collaboratively
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to partner with colleagues of different cultural, language, and educational backgrounds

Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Close vision and ability to adjust focus required. Ability to work in a cold room environment
- Regularly required to lift up to 20 pounds; may occasionally be required to lift 45 pounds or more with assistance and/or with equipment

Compensation
- Competitive hourly pay rate
- Additional shift differential for 2nd shift and 3rd shift positions
- Annual performance-based bonus

- Estimated hourly pay range (New York): $14.41–$21.61
