The Operations and Resourcing Assistant role focuses on the allocation and prioritisation of resourcing needs for the audit department, including editing resourcing requests from multiple stakeholders across the Financial Services Audit team. The role includes day-to-day tasks, project work, and ad hoc requests, providing efficient, effective, and professional resourcing coordination to help deliver quality output.
Key responsibilities
- Resourcing coordination to action resourcing requests and changes on DayShape
- Managing day-to-day requests from team managers regarding resourcing allocation and prioritisation, including managing college, study, exam and training time, annual leave, and CSR days
- Working closely with the Professional Qualifications team to ensure a clear understanding of professional qualification requirements across multiple study paths
- Actioning ad hoc change requests in a timely, effective, and prioritised approach
- Supporting a range of operational duties within Financial Services Audit, with a key focus on resourcing coordination within the FS Operations team
- Working closely with the Resourcing Manager and existing team to support local management and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Financial Services Audit
- Challenging requests for amendments to resource planning and putting clear policies in place for the use of staff and trainee resource, including specialisms and offshore usage
- Identifying solutions to manage resourcing conflicts/clashes effectively, liaising with the relevant managers in a timely manner
- Working with the Resourcing Manager to monitor metrics such as utilisation and identify initiatives to maintain positive levels of trainee engagement
- Providing an exceptional audited entity experience and supporting audited entity initiatives by being responsive and creating a positive impression at all touchpoints
What you’ll bring
- Previous office-based experience (preferable)
- Experience working in a resourcing role (preferable) or an interest in/awareness of what a resourcing role involves
- Experience in the professional services industry or a similar corporate environment (beneficial but not essential)
- Previous experience of DayShape or Workday (beneficial but not essential)
- Ability to manipulate and interpret data and management information
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), and the ability to communicate and build strong relationships with senior, partner stakeholders
