The Role

Secret Media Network is seeking a Digital Content Creator to join the Secret Singapore team. In this fast-growing startup environment, you will create engaging, original video content about life, tips, and trends in Singapore for the platform.

What You’ll Do

• Create engaging, original video content about life, culture, events, trends, and things to do in Singapore for Secret Media Network’s digital platforms.
• Cover events, attractions, openings, and breaking local stories across Singapore.
• Lead the creation of social-first video content from ideation to publication—planning, filming, editing, and optimizing videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other emerging platforms.
• Monitor content performance and use insights to refine creative strategies and improve results.
• Appear on camera as a presenter when required, conducting interviews and creating audience-focused storytelling content.
• Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, and audience behaviors to continuously optimize content performance.
• Collaborate closely with editorial, social media, and commercial teams to develop content that drives engagement and audience growth.

Who You Are

You have:

• Native-level proficiency in written and spoken English. Mandarin or Malay is a plus.
• Proven experience creating professional-quality scripted and unscripted videos, supported by a showreel and portfolio of previous work (relevant social media links accepted as well).
• A Bachelor’s degree or similar in Film, Design, Communication, or a related field.
• Confidence in writing video script copy.
• Social media content creation skills across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
• A keen interest in the latest trends in social media and digital video platforms.
• The ability to work independently and within a team.
• Willingness to work outside office hours and meet tight deadlines when necessary (within contractual duties and rights).
• Passion for Singapore city life and the topics you cover.
• An excellent understanding of digital media trends and what makes content shareable online.
• A proactive, can-do attitude with a focus on completing tasks end to end.
• Comfort appearing on camera.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, CapCut, Photoshop, and Media Encoder (After Effects is a plus).
• Comfort creating video and still imagery using digital cameras such as Sony Alpha series, GoPro, iPhone, and others.
• Basic experience in motion graphics and titling (a plus).
• Confidence creating diverse video formats such as cinemographs, gifs, and typographical animation.
• Knowledge of digital media, including codecs, image types, resolutions, frame rates, and the latest digital workflows.
• Experience conducting interviews and appearing in front of the camera.
• Understanding of basic color correction (Premiere) and basic sound design and mixing (Premiere and Audition).
