Are you a proactive problem solver who thrives on providing superior client service? We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Be a member of an investment banking team focused on capital advisory services to general partners investing in private equity, venture, real estate, credit, and infrastructure across Asia Pacific.
  • Perform due diligence on prospective general partners, including assessment of the team, platform, investment strategy, process, and track record.
  • Contribute to the formulation and presentation of internal memos to the global committee based on the team’s due diligence and analysis.
  • Support the team by preparing private placement memorandums, developing financial models, and producing marketing presentations.
  • Help negotiate terms of engagement with prospective general partners, organize discussions, and lead new client onboarding procedures.
  • Assist with internal projects such as producing country/sector studies, building business origination pipelines, and maintaining market intelligence on the private equity landscape.
  • Represent the Private Funds Group (PFG) in establishing, maintaining, and leveraging relationships with general partners, limited partners, and other industry participants to support marketing.

Team and Role Context

As a member of the Private Funds Group (PFG), you’ll work within the Alternative Capital Group (ACG) in Global Banking, providing global advisory services for private fund sponsors and their investors. You will gain in-depth knowledge of industry sectors and clients while contributing to advisory services on market and strategic matters, including primary capital raises and secondary market solutions.

Qualifications

  • Ideally 1–2 years of relevant experience. Exposure to private equity is helpful but not required; recent graduates will also be considered if they have completed their academic requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, economics, law, business administration, accounting, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to produce accurate, thoughtful deliverables quickly.
  • Proficiency with finance software (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Excel, PowerPoint, Preqin, ThomsonOne, Word, etc.).
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with third-party stakeholders under challenging circumstances.
  • Demonstrates UBS’s Pillars, Principles, and Behaviours and is willing to travel extensively.
