GI Specialist, Telesales

As a GI specialist, you will be the subject matter expert who communicates the importance of protective insurance and sound financial planning to customers over the phone, and recommends suitable policies to address the needs of individuals and their families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telemarketing calls to promote general insurance products with clear and succinct product knowledge and references to existing and prospective customers.
• Build a strong brand image for Income through clear and honest sales pitches.
• Recommend suitable policies to address customers' needs and actively identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
• Follow up on enquiries and promote direct business product activations.
• Achieve KPIs for sales performance, call quality, and operational standards.
• Achieve KPIs for leads clearance and talk time.
• Work closely with Team Managers for business development and implementation of sales strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Have obtained a minimum of three GCE O-Level passes or an NITEC certification (GCE N-Level acceptable as alternative in some cases).
• Relevant insurance certifications such as BCP, PGI, and HI would be a plus.
• Past experience in the insurance industry is advantageous.
• Professional and well-spoken over the phone.
• Good verbal communication and customer service skills to assist and satisfy customers.
• Motivated and driven when faced with challenges; committed, strong-willed, and persuasive in recommending suitable products.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to multi-task to efficiently respond to enquiries.
