Analyst, Global Money Markets

Citi's Global Money Markets Business distributes commercial paper for investment grade issuers, institutional certificates of deposit for highly-rated banks, and asset-backed commercial paper for conduit funding vessels. Our issuing and investing clients overlap with Citi’s core ICG client base. Citi is one of the largest dealers in the global commercial paper market, which includes U.S. and Euro commercial paper.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential business opportunities by collaborating with Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory (BCMA)
• Pitch new business opportunities
• Work directly with clients, internal/external legal counsel, and compliance to negotiate and document new commercial paper programs
• Review and execute amendments for existing commercial paper programs
• Develop relationships with existing and prospective issuers, providing market knowledge and information
• Support the trading desk by responding to internal and external information requests
• Coordinate with BCMA on client coverage and relationship matters

Role Focus

The Analyst role is focused on deal management and execution for new issuers and program amendments for existing clients.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as an Analyst in a capital markets, banking, transaction management, or legal role
• Proven success working in a team-oriented environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints
• Knowledge of short-term products is helpful but not required
• Familiarity with the documentation process in fixed income products
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to interpret and negotiate legal documentation
• Demonstrated high levels of energy, engagement, and integrity
• Self-motivated
• BS/BA degree
• Series 7 and 63 preferred
