The Global Technology division manages the critical systems and platforms that form the backbone of the company’s retail, commercial, and institutional businesses, as well as key support functions around the world.
We develop and deploy leading-edge technology in areas such as mobile and online banking, payments processing, technology infrastructure, cyber-security, risk and capital management, and enterprise data management. Our mainframe environment is the third largest in the world.

Our Summer Analyst Program
Our program provides a unique experience based on your interests, development opportunities, and current business needs. Analyst positions support teams that work on the latest technology and emerging technical trends.
Our Program
The Summer program is a 10-week experience designed to give Summer Analysts exposure to life at Bank of America and opportunities to contribute to the team. The program begins with a week-long in-person orientation and induction to the firm with networking opportunities. You will receive Bank/Line of Business information and network with peers and Enterprise leaders across Summer Campus programs. Summer Analysts receive an associate-like experience, with assignments that reflect full-time responsibility and include goal-setting and a formal review process.
Although the role may vary, every intern will have robust learning through trainings, professional development, networking events, volunteer activities, speaker series, and more. During your 10 weeks with Bank of America, you’ll strengthen key skills to help jump-start your career and make a real impact on our business from day one.

Education
Considered candidates are required to be pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree from an accredited college or university. Eligible candidates must have a graduation timeframe between November 2027 and August 2028.
- Degree Type: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree
- Considered candidates should be in their penultimate year of school
- Master’s candidates should not have more than 0 years of experience
- Graduation Dates: November 2027 – August 2028
- Major/Course of Study: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or similar degree of relevance
- GPA: 3.5 minimum GPA preferred
Candidates for our Global Technology programs should possess:
- Fundamental knowledge and understanding of programming languages, data visualization tools, application frameworks, distributed systems and databases
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, including various work assignments and changing priorities
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to influence both vertically and horizontally
- Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, and a team attitude
- Distinguished written and oral communications skills
- High intellectual curiosity, drive for excellence, and a commitment to achieving sustainable results
- Strong academic and technical skills in Microsoft Office, with proficiencies in leadership, teamwork, problem solving, analytical skills, verbal and written communication, and professionalism
Recruitment Process
Analyst internship and full-time recruiting operates on a rolling basis once applications open until they close. Assessments often begin before the deadline, so submitting your application early increases your chances of consideration.
Business Analyst
Business Analysts capture and refine business requirements by working with stakeholders to understand their needs. They develop creative and technical problem-solving solutions and collaborate with the Development Team to execute ideas and document processes and workflows. For all roles, specific teams are assigned mid-spring to align participants with real-time, business-critical needs.
Key tasks and responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to):
- Work with stakeholders to understand needs, analyze problems, and capture requirements
- Gather and catalog functional, non-functional, and technical requirements
- Work closely with development teams to refine requirements into executable specifications
- Document processes, procedures, and workflows
- Create and maintain training materials for end-users
- Possess a foundational understanding of the business/technical domain based on specialization
Recommended Skillsets
- Basic proficiency in Agile Methodology, Process Improvement, and Excel
- Familiarity with Tableau, Hadoop, JIRA, Confluence, SSRS, Splunk, SQL, Visio, etc.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across verticals, horizontals, and cross-functions
- Prior coursework and/or internship experience and interest in project management and/or technology consulting
