About Tax

At PwC, our people in Tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.

Indirect tax touches almost every transaction a business makes — from the products it sells to the services it consumes — making it one of the most dynamic and commercially relevant areas of tax today. Our Goods and Services Tax (GST) Off-Cycle Internship offers a flexible, immersive opportunity to step into this exciting field at one of the world's leading professional services firms — outside the usual peak internship windows.

You'll work alongside experienced indirect tax professionals on real client engagements, gain hands-on exposure to an exclusive portfolio of multinationals and local businesses, and build the technical and advisory skills that set you apart for a future-ready career in tax, finance, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advisory and compliance excellence. Provide GST advisory and compliance services to a wide range of exclusive clients across industries.
  • Support GST reporting. Help clients manage their GST reporting obligations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with IRAS requirements.
  • Conduct GST reviews. Perform GST reviews to identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements that strengthen clients' indirect tax positions.
  • Engage with the tax authority. Liaise with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) on client matters, gaining valuable exposure to how indirect tax practice works in the real world.
  • Embrace digital transformation. Use digital tax tools, data analytics, and AI-enabled platforms to enhance the quality and efficiency of GST work — and stay ahead of the technology shaping the future of indirect tax.
  • Learn from the best. Be coached and mentored by experienced practitioners committed to your growth, with access to PwC's world-class learning environment.

What we are looking for

  • We welcome curious, ambitious students who are excited to build a career at the intersection of business, regulation, and strategy.
  • Accountancy and Business students from local or overseas universities.
  • Students from adjacent disciplines (e.g., Economics, Law, Finance) with a strong demonstrated interest in tax or business advisory are equally welcome to apply.
  • Keen to develop yourself in the profession and take ownership of your learning journey.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, confident, and creative, with a growth mindset.
  • A strong co-curricular activities record, demonstrating well-roundedness, leadership, and initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with peers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Service-oriented, with a genuine commitment to teamwork and excellence.

Application Notes

  • Please indicate your first-choice role and, where applicable, a second-choice role, based on your skills, interests, and career aspirations.
