Division Summary

Global Markets (GM) is responsible for all secondary market trading and sales activities in Commodities and Financial Markets (FIC) across the Bank’s international footprint.

Job Purpose

This role provides support to the Singapore Business Management team. The Business Management team supports the Global Markets business, including new product support, business analysis and performance measurement. The individual will have the opportunity to learn about the Global Markets Metals and FIC business in the Asia-Pacific region and gain experience working with support areas and other key stakeholders in Singapore, Shanghai and London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare management information and presentations to support business development
  • Identify and introduce efficiencies in processes within the Business Management team
  • Document spreadsheets and VBA macros
  • Assist the business with the introduction of new technology into day-to-day workflow
  • Conduct basic market research including Asia-Pacific countries, and review specific target clients/sectors
  • Engage in ad hoc projects
  • Maintain awareness of and comply with all Anti-Money Laundering laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to ICBC Standard Bank

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Values

  • Knowledge, technical skills and expertise: Studying for a degree in Business, Accounting, Finance
  • Mandarin skills are required
  • Advanced Excel knowledge including macros
