You will take a lead role in acquiring, managing, and retaining meaningful relationships with clients, using your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions to address their financial needs and simplify their lives, contributing to the branch’s success.
Responsibilities
- Put clients first and exceed their expectations—deliver attentive and friendly service, creating a welcoming environment.
- Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them, both in person and over the phone, to build lasting relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
- Engage in clear, polite, consultative communication to understand and help clients, building trust—ask questions and listen to understand and anticipate their needs.
- Educate and connect clients to technology solutions such as the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs to help them with their banking needs whenever, wherever, and however they want.
- Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to effectively consult with clients about banking solutions, and collaborate with and connect them to our team of experts for specialized financial needs.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or related industries with a proven track record of establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- Ability to create memorable experiences for clients and elevate the client experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with the ability to tailor features and benefits of products and services to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with attention to detail, providing a consistent client experience.
- Operate within established risk parameters/tolerances and meet internal/external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Minimum licensing requirements: Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including 63 if required), and Life licenses. All unlicensed applicants must obtain their licenses through JPMorgan Chase’s licensing program within 180 days of hire, with study materials and support provided.
- Ability to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- College degree or military equivalent.
- Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Regulatory and licensing compliance
Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act: This position is subject to Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. Offers are contingent on JPMorgan Chase’s review of criminal history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and other information relevant to determining fitness for the position. Felony convictions within the last seven years may disqualify an applicant. Employment is contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd-Frank Loan Originator requirements. The position requires NMLS registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon employment, you will be required to register on NMLS or update your existing registration to reflect employment with JPMorgan Chase. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration after your start date and timely renewal.
