Job Title: Relationship Banker

As a Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you will represent our brand and culture with hospitality, utilizing the latest banking solutions and innovative financial technology alongside friendly, attentive service. You will take a lead role in acquiring, managing, and retaining meaningful relationships with clients, using your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions that address their financial needs and support the branch’s success.
Job Responsibilities
- Put clients first and exceed their expectations by delivering attentive, friendly service in a welcoming environment.
- Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them—both in person and over the phone—to build lasting relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
- Engage in clear, polite, consultative communication to understand and help clients, building trust through questions and active listening.
- Educate and connect clients to technology solutions such as the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs to support their banking needs whenever and wherever they choose.
- Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to effectively consult with clients about banking solutions and connect them to our team of experts for specialized needs.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or related industries with a proven track record of establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- Ability to create memorable experiences for clients and elevate the client experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with the ability to tailor features and benefits of products and services to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with attention to detail, providing a consistent client experience.
- Operate within established risk parameters and meet internal/external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
- High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- The Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including 63 if required), and Life licenses are minimum requirements. All unlicensed applicants must obtain their licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire, with study materials and support provided.
- Ability to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- College degree or military equivalent.
- Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Regulatory & Licensing
This position is subject to the Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. Employment offers are contingent on JPMorgan Chase's review of criminal history, credit report, NMLS information, and other factors demonstrating financial responsibility and fitness for the position. Felony convictions within the last seven years may disqualify a candidate. Employment is contingent on compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd-Frank requirements. This position also requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment, you must register on NMLS or update your existing registration to reflect employment with JPMorgan Chase.
