NAM Quantitative Analysis, Summer Analyst Program – New York (North America - 2027)

Citi is seeking Summer Analysts to join the Citi Markets – Quantitative Analysis (MQA) team in New York City. As part of Markets, your work can have an immediate impact—from derivatives modeling to algorithmic execution—by building innovative solutions to complex financial problems facing our trading businesses and clients.
Our Markets Analyst Program blends traditional financial engineering principles with the latest machine learning and data science techniques to design and develop quantitative solutions and analytics that support diverse investment and transaction strategies across Markets.
Training & Development
All Summer Analysts participate in a comprehensive, week-long training program during the first week of the Summer Program. The training is led by skilled external consultants and industry professionals and covers fundamental aspects of the Markets Summer Analyst role.
Your Experience
Summer Analysts are placed on a quantitative modeling desk and assigned a summer project that highlights the importance of quantitative methods as financial products and trading strategies become more sophisticated. At the end of the program, you will present your results to senior leadership.
We offer weekly speaker events with product heads to deepen your understanding of the Markets industry. You will also participate in a company-wide Data Science competition and attend networking events with professionals at various levels.
During the summer, you will shadow multiple quantitative trading and structuring desks. In these rotations, you will learn from professionals as they make markets for our institutional clients while actively monitoring and hedging risk.
Who You Are
- You are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree (graduating Fall 2027 or Spring 2028) and major in Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- You are excited to work in our New York office.
- You maintain a GPA of 3.3 or above.
- You have strong mathematical skills related to data analysis and statistical modeling.
- You have programming experience in C++, Python, or Java.
- You have experience designing, developing, and implementing artificial intelligence models and machine learning algorithms.
- You are creative, intellectually curious, and enjoy solving problems.
- You are enthusiastic, quick-thinking, and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- You are confident, and articulate in oral and written communication.

Additional Details
In addition to base salary, Citi offers eligible employees discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
