Position

Mercer Marsh Benefits is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Singapore office:

GBM Junior Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Supports the consulting team in gathering, organizing, entering and analysing data using Excel spreadsheets for various client projects. Focuses on analysis of results, manages portions of projects, and reviews the work of lower-level analysts.
• Gathers utilization or rate data from vendors via Request for Proposal (RFP). Interprets the data and summarizes responses from the RFP in Excel or PowerPoint for client presentation.
• Develops cost projections and evaluations of vendor renewal workups. Results are used in client meetings.
• Compiles information for budget and billing reports. Participates in calls and meetings as appropriate. Assists with clear and concise communications and resolves most claim issues; more complex issues may be escalated to senior consultants.
• Gathers design data from the client and current vendors needed to analyse the impact of a client’s consolidation and/or marketing of its healthcare plans. Organises plan design details and costs in Excel for further analysis. Verifies data for reasonableness and follows up with vendors regarding missing or inaccurate data.
• Develops a good understanding of vendor/carrier markets, basic underwriting and financial skills, products, services and technical tools, and intranet resources through training, online learning, and collaboration with experienced colleagues.

What you need to have

• Keen interest in the field of global benefits management.
• To perform the role, candidate must clear all 6 papers in order to apply licensing.
• Outstanding analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines and to work on a team.
• Demonstrable ability or interest in data cleaning, analysis, and recordkeeping.
• MAS qualification is required for this role.
