Associate, North America Financing Sales (New York)
The NA Financing Sales team sits within Markets in the Commercial and Investment Bank, covering institutional clients globally. Be part of the NA Financing Sales team and contribute to its success.
The North America Financing Sales team covers clients globally across a broad range of products, including repo, securities lending, and financing solutions. We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Associate for a client-coverage role in the New York office. The successful candidate will cover hedge funds, asset managers, banks, corporations and pension funds for their financing, short covering and yield enhancement needs across North America sovereign bonds and other asset-backed-securities. The main responsibility is to drive business growth by onboarding new clients to the franchise and by growing balances with existing clients, executing both vanilla and more structured financing transactions. The successful candidate will be a solution-oriented team-player who collaborates with colleagues in Sales, Trading, Structuring, Risk, Legal and Operations to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
Job responsibilities
- Coverage responsibilities for North America Sovereigns financing needs across a broad range of client types within a global team
- Collaborate with Sales, Trading, Structuring, Risk, Legal and Operations to deliver for our client base
- Operate closely alongside the broader Sales business to identify client gaps and potential growth opportunities
- Challenge existing setup and drive efficiencies and improvements in our product offering to clients
- Deliver the full spectrum of products that the team covers to our client base
- Drive the tech and automation agenda in the product
- Achieve operational efficiencies working closely with Middle and Back-office colleagues
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Entrepreneurial, ambitious, strong problem-solving capabilities, driven
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- 1+ years of relevant experience (preferably in client-facing roles)
- Finance degree or relevant equivalent
- Financing, capital markets or structuring experience strongly preferred
- Experience and aptitude in balancing and influencing internal and external stakeholder interests
- Genuine interest and motivation to work in markets and with clients
- Ability to understand complex topics and products and explain them to other parties
- Ability to think on a strategic level and identify future opportunities for business growth
- Very strong communication skills
- Ability to grasp new concepts and products and deliver them to clients
- Proactive, team player, detail-oriented, and motivated
- Excellent time management
