ING in Asia Pacific

Singapore is the regional headquarters for ING's Wholesale Banking (WB) business in Asia, which includes all WB business lines such as Financial Markets, Strategic Products, Sectors, Lending and Transaction Services and other support functions.

What does the Country Management, India do in ING?

We are the coverage team for India for conglomerates and large local corporates. Our key responsibility is to originate new relationships for the banks and deepen existing relationships. Our target is the top 50 groups in India with interests in diverse sectors including manufacturing, energy, metals & mining technology, healthcare, and transportation.

What would you be doing?

  • Support the India coverage team in preparing meeting packs, internal memoranda and presentations.
  • Analyze balance sheets of clients from credit and business opportunities perspective and help with the KYC process of these clients.
  • Follow up on action items, deliverables, internal and external commitments to ensure they are tracked and completed on time.
  • Manage ad-hoc requests to meet business needs.
  • Be involved in projects as necessary.

What qualities, skills and other criteria are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:

  • You should have legal work rights in the country of internship.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, ability to work on presentations and memos.
  • Knowledge of accounting and understanding of annual reports would be preferred.
