Compensation

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $70,000 and $80,000 per year. The total compensation package may include additional elements such as a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, discretionary awards, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits). Department Overview

Cash Management is part of the Treasury Operations team and is responsible for a broad range of functions related to cash management, liquidity, and funding for Nomura.

Role Description / Areas of Responsibility

  • Reconcile daily payment activity across the main funding accounts, researching and resolving funding-related inquiries from internal stakeholders.
  • Process payment requests collaboratively with internal partners to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Monitor payment platforms used by the firm and address issues that arise during operating hours.
  • Oversee funding accounts to ensure sufficient funds are available for business needs throughout the day.
  • Review and confirm proper documentation for client payments that are on potential OFAC or Watch lists.
  • Manage internal mailboxes, phone calls, and other inquiries to ensure daily issues are resolved.

Skills, Experience, Qualifications & Knowledge

  • 1+ year of experience in Financial Services (full-time or internship).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Series 99 Operations professional is preferred.
  • Strong due diligence to ensure accuracy of work.
  • Problem-solving capabilities with the ability to think and act quickly.
  • Strong and effective communication skills.
  • Proactive initiative to resolve issues, ask questions, and identify required actions.
  • Ability to research exception items and develop paths for corrective action.
