Overview
We are seeking an Intern to join Kroll's Investigations Diligence and Compliance practice. You will assist with internal investigations and the examination of allegations of wrongdoing, helping clients manage risk and minimize disruption to operations and reputation.
Navigating Responsibilities
- Carry out research using databases, the internet, and public-domain tools
- Collate and organize large volumes of data
- Review and analyze documents and emails
- Interrogate financial and accounting data
- Provide administrative support to Case Managers including scanning, photocopying, and filing
- Assist Case Managers in using Excel and PowerPoint to present key findings and patterns identified in the investigation
- Communicate regularly with colleagues to report progress and highlight key issues as needed
- Organize case files, maintain accurate research records, and record billable costs
- Provide additional administrative support to the team when requested
The Ideal Candidate
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Studies, Economics, Journalism, International Relations/Affairs, Political Science, or Security Studies
- Commercial experience in a research-intensive environment is advantageous
- Aware of and understands relevant regulations relating to confidentiality and data protection
- Able to understand business, economic, and political drivers
- Discreet and able to handle sensitive information in confidence
- Resourceful and analytical with good common sense and sound business acumen
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in writing effective reports and/or articles
- Ability to communicate with a high level of fluency and clarity in both writing and speech in English; any Southeast Asian language or Chinese capability is advantageous
