About the Role
We’re looking for a self-motivated Business Development Executive to join our Hong Kong Sales Team and expand our global business development efforts. The role aims to acquire new merchants, upsell/cross-sell to existing merchants, and manage after-sales services to maintain strong relationships with clients. Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities, build and manage client relationships, and identify potential sales opportunities.
- Provide personalized product recommendations based on client needs to promote our products and services and their value.
- Maintain trust and good cooperation with existing clients.
- Research enterprises and individual merchants to understand client profiles and identify new sales opportunities.
- Participate in seminars and industry-related events.
- Aim to meet monthly personal sales targets.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales progress reports.
- Utilize AI tools to assist in account management and enhance client success, including understanding client needs, increasing engagement, and driving retention and expansion.
Qualifications
We look for candidates who:
- Are proactive, collaborative, and possess strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Are goal-oriented, with a sense of responsibility to achieve sales targets.
- Show drive and a positive mindset.
- Enjoy startup culture and can adapt to fast-paced work environments.
- Have 1–2 years of sales experience; experience in related industries is a plus.
- Can use AI tools for prospecting and identifying new business opportunities, and are proficient in data-driven sales development and pipeline building.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in e-commerce or related industries with a track record of strong performance.
- Experience working in fast-paced startup environments.
- Familiarity with Carousell platform product categories and knowledge of certain product categories.
