Role and Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the senior analyst to conduct extensive company and industry research.
  • Create financial models and valuation analyses.
  • Write company reports, industry reports, and investment recommendations.
  • Meet with company management teams and interview customers, suppliers, and competitors.
  • Make company visits and attend trade shows and industry conferences.
  • As the internship progresses, market the team’s research and investment recommendations to the sales force and to institutional investors, venture capitalists, and private/public companies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Ph.D., Master’s degree in science-related fields, or an undergraduate degree in a science-related field with at least 2 years of work experience in the healthcare sector.
  • Ability to think quickly, work independently, and demonstrate strong analytical skills.
  • Intense interest in the stock market with a track record of professional, academic, and personal achievement.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent quantitative and organizational skills.
  • Strong competitive drive balanced by the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong background in the biological sciences.
  • Fluent understanding of financial accounting preferred but not required.
  • Strong writing and financial modeling experience.
  • SIE, Series 86 and 87 required (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).

Compensation & Internship Details

The anticipated starting hourly range for this internship is $21–$30 per hour, depending on experience, location, and other factors. Please note that this internship is not a summer internship. It is intended to become a full-time role soon after completion, with an anticipated 6-month duration and potential for advancement.

If offered a full-time role after the internship, the anticipated starting salary range is $80,000–$125,000 per year, depending on experience and location. Total compensation includes eligibility for annual incentive compensation, making total compensation competitive within the market.
