Role details
Job Description
- Maintain District Cooling System (DCS) plants, Retail Cooling Monitoring (RCM), and other field operations.
- Implement and monitor service and maintenance programs.
- Support analysis and optimization of plant maintenance.
- Supervise and execute all maintenance processes, including managing externally sourced contractors.
- Support maintenance contract management.
- Conduct routine facility inspections to identify and resolve issues.
- Assist engineers with calibrations and troubleshooting controls as needed.
- Assign and release work orders to maintenance specialists and contractors.
- Close work orders and service requests upon completion.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with established standards and procedures.
- Assist engineers in analyzing and implementing facility enhancements and improvements.
- Maintain proper documentation of all maintenance records for tracking and audits.
- Oversee equipment inventory and place orders for supplies as necessary.
- Administer the Permit To Work system.
- Maintain a safe operating environment by adhering to company policies, procedures, and government regulations. Understand safety requirements including Machine Guarding, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Permit to Work, Work at Height, Hot Work, and hazardous area classification.
- Perform other duties as reasonably assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Control & Instrumentation, or Air-conditioning Engineering. Higher NITEC holders with relevant DHCS experience will also be considered.
- Keen interest in developing a career in the District Heating and Cooling System (DHCS) business.
- Good understanding of technical features of ACMV and District Cooling Systems.
- Practical experience with Energy Management Systems and familiarity with local/remote control, monitoring systems, and instrumentation.
- Working knowledge of facilities, machines, and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good awareness of Health, Safety, and Environment with a strong safety mindset.
- Willingness to perform 12-hour rotating shift duties at various sites.
