Role: Group Risk Administrator

We are looking for a Group Risk Administrator to join the team, providing administrative support to Corporate Employee Benefits Consultants. This role supports the ongoing servicing of existing clients and the implementation of new business, helping deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for new and existing group risk and healthcare schemes, including new business implementation, processing joiners and leavers, handling client and claims queries, and keeping clients and consultants informed of progress and outcomes.
  • Administer group risk, private medical insurance, and other employee benefit schemes, including preparing and issuing policy documentation, managing renewals and market reviews, and ensuring service, quality, and turnaround standards are met.
  • Liaise with insurers and providers to obtain information, progress client requests, and ensure timely completion of scheme administration activities.
  • Coordinate client meetings and complete follow-up actions, liaising with clients, insurers, and providers as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including maintaining templates and workflows, improving processes and documentation, and contributing to quality control measures.
  • Maintain accurate client records, compliance documentation, and internal systems, ensuring information is up to date and maintained in line with regulatory and business requirements, with a clear audit trail for all client records.
  • Provide new business quotations for group risk and healthcare schemes.
  • Draft proposition documents, reports, and presentations for consultants.
  • Issue invoices and provide updates to clients.
  • Deal with fee and commission enquiries.
  • Carry out all activities in accordance with FCA requirements, internal policies and procedures, and the firm’s Treating Customers Fairly principles.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants and colleagues across the business to support client service delivery and help the department run efficiently.
  • Maintain and develop technical knowledge of group risk, healthcare, and wider employee benefits products, providers, and market developments through ongoing professional development and completion of mandatory training.
  • Provide general office support, including handling telephone enquiries, coordinating client visits and meetings, and managing incoming and outgoing post.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in an administration role within employee benefits.
  • Knowledge of Group Life and Group Income Protection arrangements is essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong data management and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Analytical approach with the ability to identify issues and support problem-solving.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and collaborate as part of a team.

Desirable Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Group Private Medical Insurance and Group Critical Illness schemes, Group Dental, Health Cash Plans, and Employee Assistance Programmes.
