Business Analyst

At CFC, data is at the heart of how we make decisions, improve performance, and drive innovation across our business. We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our MI & Data Insights team, playing a key role in shaping how data, technology, and business teams collaborate.

This is not a traditional reporting role. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping to translate complex requirements into meaningful solutions that improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, and unlock greater value from our data. You will work closely with underwriting, distribution, claims, finance, actuarial, and technology teams, participating in high-profile transformation initiatives that directly influence how one of the world's leading specialist insurance businesses operates.

This opportunity places you at the intersection of business, data, and technology, influencing information usage across a fast-growing global insurance business. As a Business Analyst within our Performance Management function, you will be a driving force behind continuous improvement and operational excellence across the MI & Data Insights team. You will work on a variety of strategic and business-critical initiatives, helping to modernize processes, improve reporting capabilities, and support the adoption of new technologies and ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, remove inefficiencies, and enhance team performance.
• Supporting large-scale transformation projects, including technology migrations, automation initiatives, and data modernization programs.
• Translating business requirements into actionable solutions for Data and Technology teams.
• Working closely with stakeholders to understand challenges, define requirements, and deliver meaningful outcomes.
• Conducting data analysis and discovery work to support strategic initiatives and change programs.
• Supporting testing, user acceptance activities, and governance processes to ensure successful delivery.
• Driving business adoption through stakeholder engagement, training, and continuous feedback loops.
• Helping to shape frameworks, controls, and quality standards that improve consistency and confidence in reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder management skills. You may currently be working as a Business Analyst, MI Analyst, Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, BI Analyst, or Analytics Consultant, and are looking for a role with greater visibility, influence, and ownership.

You will bring:

• Experience working within an MI, Reporting, Analytics, or Data Insights function.
• A strong understanding of the London Market, Lloyd's, or the wider insurance industry.
• The ability to translate business problems into data and technology solutions.
• Experience gathering requirements, improving processes, and supporting change initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, insights, and opportunities from complex data.
• Experience using tools such as SQL, Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• A naturally curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and finding smarter ways of working.

Experience within delegated authority, MGA, or specialty insurance environments would be beneficial, but is not essential.
