What You’ll Do

• Learn your PM’s and team’s investing process, exchange insights, identify cross-sector themes, and debate investment ideas.
• Build and refine detailed financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses of public companies within your sector.
• Conduct fundamental research on individual companies, industries, and subsectors to identify emerging risks and potential investment opportunities.
• Develop and present actionable investment recommendations directly to your PM.
• Attend conferences and industry events.
• Build relationships with relevant sell-side analysts, salespeople, and research associates.
• Embody Point72’s commitment to ethics, professionalism, integrity, and excellence—especially in partnership with our Compliance team.
• Analyze and incorporate macroeconomic and industry-specific developments and trends into your research.
• Take advantage of our development and analytics resources to become the best version of yourself as an investor.

What’s Required

• 1+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, hedge fund, investment management, private equity, or another relevant industry role.
• Strong financial modeling and business analysis skills.
• Passion for public markets investing.
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards.
