Job Purpose
The Private Banking Executive (PBE) will primarily focus on providing proactive support to one to two Private Bankers and their portfolio of clients. They will support Private Bankers (PB) with client acquisition and retention through client contact, but will primarily provide support in the preparation of lending proposals. The PBE will act as a proxy for the PB, representing them in meetings or communications.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service and Sales Support
- Serve as the main point of contact and be accountable for clients regarding their day-to-day banking needs.
- Build and monitor strong client relationships.
- Support Private Bankers in developing, growing, and retaining their portfolio of High Net Worth (HNW) Clients, ensuring a quality of service is provided at all times.
- Demonstrate competence in identifying new sales opportunities.
- Undertake proactive client calls and ensure PBs follow up on all client leads, facilitating client meetings.
- Prepare comprehensive client briefs and necessary research for private bankers.
- Support Insights for Action survey scores by following up on raw data, ensuring a positive client experience and managing expectations at all times (addressing negative feedback effectively and efficiently).
- Manage account maintenance procedures, including account opening and account closing.
- Initiate, discuss, and complete Credit Applications on behalf of PBs.
- Monitor the return of Facility letters and the completion of LMF/interest rate/fee forms.
- Monitor, prepare, and/or carry out annual credit reviews.
- Complete shadow postings on a daily basis.
- Monitor, prepare, and/or complete annual client reviews, maintaining client files throughout the process.
General Administration
- Prepare client communications.
- Prepare account opening forms.
- Be responsible for keeping client records updated.
- Initiate and maintain client files.
Private Banker's Organization
- Organize, maintain, and coordinate diaries for the PB (including future meeting planning, meeting preparation, and planning for issues).
- Organize travel schedules.
Compliance
- Complete compliance regulatory exams, adhering to both legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Interfaces
- Take ownership and support other PBEs.
- Maintain excellent relationships with Operations, Treasury, and Compliance.
