Summer College Internship Program

The Summer College Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship designed for undergraduate and graduate students. Interns will gain hands-on experience through meaningful projects, mentorship from respective managers, and participation in development workshops focused on key business concepts, while networking and becoming part of our company.

Interns may work within skills-based tracks including Business Administration, Information Technology, Actuarial, Human Resources, Analytics & Data, Communications, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Clinical Studies, Customer Experience, Digital Operations, and other technical or non-technical degree programs.

Internship Details

• This is a paid 10-week summer internship, running from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August (up to 40 hours per week).
• Interns may work in either a technical or non-technical area.
• Development workshops are provided to assist with the transition from academia to the corporate environment.
• Housing is not provided as part of this program.

Essential Accountabilities

• Specific duties will vary by assignment; divisional callouts are listed below.
• Supporting the Candesa Pharmacy Solutions development team by implementing and testing application enhancements, completing conversion work, participating in Agile ceremonies, collaborating with team members through code reviews and technical discussions, and contributing to high-quality software solution delivery.
• Working with a mentor and supporting key strategic projects.
• Completing work assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications.
• Performing a mix of technical and/or non-technical tasks across a broad range of business-related projects.
• Creating and delivering presentations upon completion of the internship.
• Consistently demonstrating high standards of integrity by upholding the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and embodying the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.
• Maintaining confidentiality and protecting member privacy in accordance with company policies.
• Maintaining regular and reliable attendance.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Desired Majors/Degree Programs include Computing Sciences & Information Technology (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Networking, Cybersecurity, or similar programs).
• High School diploma plus proof of continuous college enrollment (full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program).
• Must be in good academic standing.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences across all company levels.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work well in a team and establish positive working relationships with peers.
• Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
• Proactive approach to work, displaying creativity and flexibility in task completion.
• Commitment to continuous improvement of skills and team functioning.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently or on intra- and inter-departmental teams as required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure/AWS/Other cloud platforms, C#, Angular, GIT, Github Copilot, or other AI tools such as Claude Code, GPT Codex, etc., is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation, viewing a computer, and using a keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.
• Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or training courses as needed.

Compensation and Opportunity

Compensation Range

Level I: Minimum $18.00 - Maximum $20.00

The indicated salary range represents the minimum and maximum for this position. Actual salary will vary based on factors including budget availability, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education related to the minimum qualifications, in addition to internal equity. This range reflects only one component of the total rewards package, which may also include participation in group health/dental insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, paid time off, and paid holidays.
