Contract Analyst (UK)

Summary

The Contract Analyst directs the preparation, review, and administration of contractual proposals relating to construction projects for Capital Projects. This role is responsible for verifying adherence to policy regarding specifications for materials, equipment, manpower, or other construction services contracted by the department. The analyst verifies that all necessary approvals have been obtained and ensures that standard company procedures are followed. The position requires familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting field and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish complex goals, requiring a certain degree of creativity and latitude. This role reports to the Senior Contract Analyst, Capital Administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and execute contracts and change orders according to company policy.
• Ensure contract execution is in accordance with company policy.
• Review and negotiate contract terms and payment structures with associated parties.
• Analyze contract stipulations and draft contract provisions and amendments.
• Ensure contractors comply with legal requirements, owner specifications, and government regulations.
• Update records of all correspondence related to contract activity.
• Provide advice and technical assistance regarding Budgets, Yardi, and VendorCafe for Capital Projects.
• Receive, research, and resolve various routine internal and external inquiries concerning payment/budget status, communicating resolution of discrepancies to the appropriate party.
• Maintain an audit file for each contract, including the original contract, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, and payment schedules.
• Log and track executed contracts, change orders, and maintain a pricing database for the Redevelopment Department.
• Manage new vendor setup and assist in optimizing the adoption rate of the VendorCafe Invoice Submission Program.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred, or equivalent experience in contracts administration.
• At least 1-2 years of experience working as an administrator or contract specialist.
• Familiarity with UK contract regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring contracts adhere to legal standards, company policies, and contractual obligations.
• Must be self-directed and have experience managing a high volume of contracts monthly.
• Ability to interpret, understand, review, and draft vendor contracts and amendments.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions on minor issues in accordance with company policy.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Computer literacy, including knowledge of Outlook, MS Office, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
• Yardi/Payscan experience is preferred.
