Internship Opportunity - Templeton Global Investments (Singapore)

We are looking for an Intern to join the Templeton Global Investments team in our Singapore office. This internship is expected to commence in December 2026 for 25 to 35 weeks.

This internship offers hands-on exposure to using technology and artificial intelligence to refine investment management within a leading global emerging markets equity franchise. You will work closely with portfolio managers to design and build AI-driven tools and automation solutions that streamline portfolio management and investment research workflows. It is an ideal opportunity for a technically strong, curious, and self-motivated student who is excited about applying large language models (LLMs) and generative AI to real-world investment processes.

How will you add value?

• Identify opportunities within the portfolio management and research workflow where AI and automation can save time, reduce manual effort, or improve decision-making.
• Design, prototype, and build tools that leverage LLMs and generative AI to automate research, data extraction, and portfolio management processes.
• Develop scripts and applications that streamline repetitive tasks such as report generation, data aggregation, and monitoring of portfolio and market data.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers to translate their day-to-day pain points into practical, working automation solutions.
• Document workflows, tools, and prompts developed to enable knowledge transfer and continued use by the team beyond the internship.

What will help you be successful in this role?

• Engineering degree in Computer Science, or a related field, with hands-on interest or experience in LLMs, generative AI tools, prompt engineering, or AI agent frameworks.
• Strong technical and programming skills, with the ability to independently build and iterate on tools and scripts.
• A genuine curiosity about AI and technology, along with a self-learner mindset that seeks out new tools, frameworks, and techniques with minimal guidance.
• Basic understanding of project finance and capital markets.
• Strong written and spoken English, with good attention to detail and clear communication skills.
