Financial Analyst, Advertising Finance (MADS Team)

Advertising Finance is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the MADS finance team, providing critical support to the Advertising Trust team. This role ensures we deliver the best experience for Amazon advertisers and customers.

The successful candidate will manage FP&A activities, partnering with business teams—including both technology and operations—to create and review business opportunities, set up metrics, build financial models, and drive automation and productivity improvements. This role operates in a fast-paced, global, autonomous, and results-oriented environment, serving as an important member of the business leadership team.

This position will also partner with the global advertising team to develop team-wide goals, process improvement initiatives, and assist in identifying standards for global consistency. This role requires excellent communication and organization skills, including the ability to anticipate, identify, and communicate risks to senior leadership across various geographies and time zones.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Implement and drive core financial processes and reporting for the business (FP&A).
• Create short and long-term financial forecasts to assist business decision-making.
• Identify and create business metrics to monitor the operational and financial health of the business and drive improvement.
• Influence stakeholders, maintain the highest standards, demonstrate a bias for action, and challenge the status quo.
• Identify operational improvements, conduct deep dives on cost structures, and analyze business opportunities/investments.
• Assess the impact of new business ideas and initiatives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of finance experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science).

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience participating in continuous improvement projects within a team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
• Experience with TM1, Data Warehouse, and SQL.

Location and Compensation

USA, NY, New York - $66,300.00 - $109,200.00 USD annually

USA, WA, SEATTLE - $80,200.00 - $99,300.00 USD annually

The base salary range for this position is listed above. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
