Global Merchant Services (GMS) Marketing Internship

Global Merchant Services (GMS) Marketing is focused on growing American Express acceptance and transaction volumes by deepening existing relationships with merchants. GMS Marketing develops and launches innovative, merchant-led marketing campaigns designed to capture higher cardmember spend within already-accepting merchants.

Campaign examples include running offers with well-known large merchants, organizing merchant competitions across the small merchant base, or executing ad-hoc campaigns delivered through key partners.

Throughout this internship, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to craft real-life marketing strategies to expand our diverse Amex network and contribute to business growth. Responsibilities may involve engaging with top creative agencies, driving digital presence, or developing exciting product portfolios and partnerships with personal input.

This work will be informed by market and consumer data from previous campaigns, external landscape evaluations, and internal data analysis to identify trends.
