Advisory Intern, Cyber, Compliance & Assessment - Summer 2027 (Multiple Locations)

Job Summary

The Cyber Security and Compliance Intern will learn about the basics of information and data risks. The role involves assisting with client projects and internal initiatives. The Intern will work alongside experienced professionals, conducting various compliance projects, cyber maturity assessments, and other cyber-related tasks, while becoming involved in operationalizing client processes, policies, and controls.

Job Duties

• Assist with conducting security assessments, readiness reports, and related tasks covering standards such as PCI, NIST, CIS, and HIPAA.
• Document client meetings for team socialization after each meeting.
• Manage individual project tasks related to cybersecurity and compliance projects.
• Assist the team in developing client reports, including findings and recommendations.
• Assist with developing data flow diagrams and maintaining updates to these diagrams over time.
• Conduct research for client projects to help provide up-to-date market options or solutions.
• Manage time and assist with multiple simultaneous project requests, including monitoring project tasks and risks.
• Travel is required as necessary.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program (Required).
• Currently pursuing a degree in Technology, Computer Science, Information Assurance, Business Management, Accounting, or Finance (Preferred).

Experience

• Prior internship, externship, or professional experience offering exposure to data management, technology, compliance, and/or business management (Preferred).

Software Proficiency

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (Required).
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint (Preferred).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Visio (Preferred).
• Experience with Google, GoogleSuite, and other platforms (Preferred).
• Experience using AI platforms (Preferred).

Compensation and Location Information

Individual salaries are determined after consideration of numerous factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

• Colorado: $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr
• Illinois: $36.00/hr - $40.00/hr
• Maryland: $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr
• Massachusetts: $36.00/hr - $40.00/hr
• Minnesota: $32.00/hr - $36.00/hr
• New Jersey: $38.00/hr - $42.00/hr
• NYC/Long Island/Westchester: $36.00/hr - $40.00/hr
• Ohio: $33.00/hr - $37.00/hr
• Virginia: $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr
• Washington: $35.00/hr - $40.00/hr
• Washington DC: $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr
