Advisory Intern, Privacy & Data Protection - Summer 2027 (Multiple Locations

Job Summary

The Privacy & Data Protection Intern will learn the fundamentals of privacy and data protection risks while assisting with client projects and internal initiatives. Working alongside experienced professionals, the Intern will support data privacy, data governance, and AI governance assessments; develop policies and procedures; implement privacy technology; and assist with other managed service projects. This role will also support the operationalization of client processes, policies, and controls.

Job Duties

• Assist with conducting privacy maturity assessments based on privacy regulations or frameworks.
• Assist with conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) of client systems, vendors, and processing activities.
• Assist with managed service client tasks.
• Document client meetings and share summaries with the team.
• Support individual project tasks related to privacy projects.
• Assist the team with developing client reports, including findings and recommendations.
• Assist with developing project deliverables.
• Collect information for privacy processing registers and data inventories.
• Conduct research for client projects to ensure clients receive the most up-to-date solutions available on the market.
• Manage time and assist with multiple project requests simultaneously, including monitoring project tasks and risks.
• Travel as necessary.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Business Management, required.
• Enrollment in an MBA or JD program, preferred.

Experience

• Leadership experience, preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

None required.

Software

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, required.
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Visio, preferred.

Compensation

Individual salaries offered to candidates are determined after consideration of numerous factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

• Illinois: $36.00/hr–$40.00/hr
• Minnesota: $32.00/hr–$36.00/hr
• NYC/Long Island/Westchester: $36.00/hr–$40.00/hr
• Ohio: $33.00/hr–$37.00/hr
• Washington, DC: $34.00/hr–$38.00/hr
