Job Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with J.P. Morgan product and coverage teams.
• Build and utilize complex financial models, complete analytical exercises, and work with large datasets.
• Support senior bankers in developing structured solutions for complex transactions.
• Develop subject matter expertise in corporate finance and structuring areas, including capital structure, capital allocation, and separations/spin-offs.
• Draft management presentations, Board materials, and other materials for M&A, capital markets transactions, or strategic client dialogues.
• Stay informed on key market developments and build knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics.
• Create thematic client content on key issues and market developments—both corporate finance related and broader topics (e.g., sustainability, geopolitics, policy/regulation)—to inform strategic alternatives.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Prior work experience in an investment banking front office or a related role.
• Strong skills in accounting, finance, quantitative analysis, corporate finance, and business writing.
• Impeccable communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders across other lines of business.
• Self-directed, highly motivated, and capable of working independently.
• Proven problem-solver with a desire to create new solutions and products.
• Understanding of the transaction cycle, process steps, and an execution-oriented approach.
• Knowledge of how sustainability, geopolitics, and policy/regulation can impact capital markets considerations (both value creation and risk mitigation) is a plus.
• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
