As a Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you will represent our brand and culture with the utmost hospitality. You will utilize the latest banking solutions and cutting-edge financial technology, combined with friendly and attentive service. You will take a lead role in acquiring, managing, and retaining meaningful client relationships, using your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions that address their financial needs and contribute to the success of the branch.
Job Responsibilities
- Put clients first and exceed their expectations by delivering attentive and friendly service within a welcoming environment.
- Manage assigned clients by proactively meeting with them in person and over the phone to build lasting relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
- Engage in clear, polite, and consultative communication to understand and help clients, building trust by asking insightful questions and actively listening to anticipate their needs.
- Educate and connect clients to technology solutions, such as leveraging the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs, enabling them to manage banking needs conveniently.
- Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to effectively consult with clients on banking solutions, and collaborate with our team of experts for specialized financial needs.
- Adhere strictly to all policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or related industries, with a proven record of establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- Ability to create memorable client experiences that elevate the service provided.
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with a proven ability to customize product and service benefits for clients with diverse needs.
- Ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with high attention to detail, ensuring a consistent client experience.
- Operate within established risk parameters/tolerances and meet all internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completing required training.
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Minimum requirements include passing the Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including 63 if required), and Life licenses. All unlicensed applicants must obtain these licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire, with study materials and support provided.
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- College degree or military equivalent.
- Experience adhering to established banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Legal and Compliance Requirements
Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act
This position is subject to the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. An employment offer is contingent upon JPMC's review of your criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and any other information relevant to JPMC's determination that you demonstrate financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position. Note that any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration for this position. Your continued employment in this position will be contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd Frank Loan Originator requirements.
In addition, this position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment, you will be required to either register on NMLS or update your existing registration as necessary to grant access to and reflect your employment with JPMorganChase. Continued employment with JPMorganChase is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after your start date, and timely completion of annual renewal and required updates thereafter.
