The Studio Assistant / Front of House role supports the smooth day-to-day running of the studio, serving as a welcoming first point of contact for clients, visitors, and the team. This is a varied, hands-on position covering studio administration, meetings, travel, events, facilities, and general support. We are looking for someone organized, proactive, approachable, and willing to jump into any task required.
This is a part-time, month-fixed term studio services position working across Map Project Office, Universal Design, and Made Thought. Working days are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome clients, visitors, and team members.
- Manage inbox, phone lines, guest lists, and meeting set-ups.
- Handle postage, supplies, and general studio requests.
- Assist with Travel & Bookings: Flights, hotels, trains, taxis, and restaurant reservations.
- Support the studio's appearance and upkeep, including coordinating with cleaners.
- Assist with maintenance, AV, and basic technical tasks.
- Support studio events, activities, and logistics.
- Schedule weekly studio communications.
- Support wider studio initiatives and activities.
- Assist with Administration: Expenses and CC accounts reporting.
- Manage studio storage, including the handling and returns of project collections.
- Coordinate storage unit changes when necessary.
- Provide flexible and proactive support across the studio.
- Take on ad hoc requests and practical day-to-day tasks as needed.
